Nickel Alloy 36

Alloy 36 is nickel-iron low-expansion super alloy, that is sold under the brand names Nickel Alloy 36, Invar 36® and Nilo® 36. One of the main reason people chose Alloy 36 is its specific capabilities under a unique set of temperature constraints.  Alloy 36 retains good strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures due to its low coefficient of expansion. It maintains nearly constant dimensions at temperatures below -150°C (-238°F) all the way up to 260°C (500°F) which is critical to cryogenics.

Nickel Alloy 188

Alloy 188 is a cobalt-nickel-chromium-tungsten super alloy that is sold under different brand names including: Nickel Alloy 188, Haynes® 188, Udimet 188®. Due to its high level of chromium mixed with small amounts of lanthanum, Alloy 188 can be used to create products that are incredibly tough and corrosion resistant.

Alloy 188 provides an excellent high-temperature strength, suflidation resistance, and good oxidation resistance up to 2000 °F (1095°C). Fabrication is not difficult with Alloy 188, and it can be cold and hot worked, and offers users outstanding ductility and metallurgical stability.

Ni 200 is a 99.6% pure wrought nickel alloy. Nickel 201

Ni 201 and Ni 200 are also known as Nickel Alloy Ni-201 and Commercially Pure Nickel, Ni 201.  Ni 201 only differs from Ni 200 by its carbon content (.02% max in Ni 201 versus .15% max in Ni 200). This slight drop in carbon allows Ni 201 to be utilized in higher temperature applications (over 600°F) including:

  • Handling and manufacturing sodium hydroxide above 300°C
  • Soap manufacturing
  • Viscose Rayon manufacturing
  • Production of benzene, methane, and ethane
  • Reactors and vessels

Nickel Alloy 400

Monel 400 is well known for its high strength and corrosion resistant properties. It works in a wide range of temperatures, and is available in multiple forms for a variety of products. Monel 400 is used extensively in (for pipe) piping. Resistant to both steam and seawater, its toughness and anti-corrosive properties make it perfect for heavy duty applications such as transfer (pipe) piping used in oil refineries.

Monel 400 is also often used for the high tolerance tubing. It exhibits excellent weldability, and it is often found in marine applications such as seawater valves and pump shafts. These tubes are also used in chemical plant equipment, boiler feeders, and heat exchangers. For applications that require a high melting point and toughness under the harshest conditions.

Monel 400 is also ideal in wire (or rod) form. It works in a range of alkaline and acidic environments, and features good ductility and thermal conductivity. Its resistance to seawater also makes it excellent for trolling wire.

For heavy duty construction materials, Monel 400 bars provide superior quality and are able to withstand very large amounts of weight and pressure. Nickel Alloy 600

Nickel Alloy 600, also sold under the brand name Inconel® 600.  It is a unique nickel-chromium alloy that is known for its oxidation resistance at higher temperatures. It is highly versatile and can be used in everything from cryogenics to applications that present elevated temperatures up to 2000°F (1093°C).  Its high nickel content, a minimum of Ni 72%, combined with its chromium content, provides users of Nickel Alloy 600 a number of benefits including:
